Why Choose a Rottweiler Puppy?

When you’re considering which dog to get you have a lot of choices. There are more than 200 specialty breeds plus a huge variety of mixed breeds. And some of those breeds like Rottweilers are not appropriate for everyone. So why should you choose a Rottweiler puppy? Here are just a few reasons why you should think about choosing a Rottweiler puppy:

Rottweiler puppies are great companions. Rottweilers are very intelligent and bond very closely with their families. They will want to be wherever you are, whether you’re reading in bed, playing in the yard, or running errands. If you want a dog that is a true companion then you should think about choosing a Rottweiler puppy.

Rottweiler puppies are easy to train. Rottweilers as a breed are very attentive and like to learn and stay active. Rottweilers were bred to be working dogs and they love to be given tasks. Socializing your Rottweiler with puppy classes and other training exercises not only trains the dog to be obedient to you as the pack leader but also will keep your playful Rottweiler puppy busy and happy.

Rottweiler puppies are good with kids. Even though Rottweiler puppies tend to be better with kids that are school age or older they are great family dogs. Being loyal, protective, and devoted to children are all characteristics of the breed. You should always watch your Rottweiler when it’s with your kids the same way that you supervise your kids when they are around any dog, but in general Rottweilers make great family pets.

Rottweiler puppies have a calm temperament. All puppies are playful, but Rottweiler puppies are more laid back than other breeds. They also don’t bark much. Rottweiler puppies really don’t come into their voices until they are 2 or 3 years old so if you’re looking for a puppy that doesn’t bark too much you should consider a Rottweiler.
